Djibouti will collapse soon due to its undemocratic and corrupt government, their country will be history and all those military bases you saw will depart, however the only place they will be departing to is an important unrecognized country which share borders with it, Somaliland. Its the complete opposite of Djibouti and had 5 fair democratic elections where presidents peacefully gave up power. The US military already visited the port of Berbera which will be a soon the replacement for Djibouti, also the UAE after leaving there they moved to Berbera Somaliland where they invested 800 Million USD in its port through its company DP World, also the UK investment fund invested 400 million USD in 10 years, Djibouti wont monopolize Ethiopia’s import export anymore as Somaliland had a historical MOU with Ethiopia this January to use its port. I agree with you the world is changing in a fast pace that we cant keep up!
